GARVAISH HOTEL
Last week, I accompanied the delegation to Faisalabad, the third largest city in Pakistan and the center of textile industry. However, compared with Karachi and Lahore, there are few Chinese here.

After arriving in the urban area at noon, we went directly to a Chinese restaurant called "Nanhua". The first generation of pioneers came here to start a business in the 1980s. Now the restaurant is also quite large-scale and famous in the local area.

Chinese catering abroad is one of the most common businesses. As long as there are Chinese in the local area, Chinese restaurants will not be left out in the cold. Our food culture is too huge, with a wide variety, endless levels of patterns, and monotonous practices. Foreign dishes can never meet the taste buds of Chinese.

During the meal, communicate with the relevant person in charge of the store and talk about the private room of the hotel. The lobby of this restaurant is not small and full of tables of different sizes, but it does not separate a private room.

"Drinking is prohibited in Muslim countries. If Chinese people come to business banquets, it must be inconvenient to talk and drink in the hall. Why not set up several private rooms?" I asked.

"I've thought about it before, but there aren't many Chinese here. The main customers are local people. When there is a private room, the local people will certainly choose, and the time for eating and" occupying seats "is much longer than that in the hall," she said

The market is constantly adjusted based on the relationship between supply and demand. There are few Chinese in Faisalabad, and the demand for private rooms may not be strong, which is much different from cities such as iburg and Lahore.

Once, the local people invited us to dinner. He chose a western restaurant and chose a place close to the corner after entering, because it won't attract too many people's attention.

He has been dealing with Chinese people for more than ten years and is well aware of Chinese habits. He brought a box of beer and bought some peanuts as drinks and dishes on his way to the restaurant. He is really meticulous.

During the dinner, he also drank some together because he had to drive and didn't drink much. He said that some local Western restaurants in Lahore cook well, but lack "private room". Now there are more and more Chinese people, and they also have such needs. After all, it is inconvenient to drink in public.

I asked him, "what's your favorite Chinese food?"

He said, "I like hot pot."

It seems that Pakistanis who have been to China have a special liking for this if they have tasted hot pot. At least I know that the locals who have eaten hot pot like it without exception.

Pakistanis generally like to eat spicy food and meat. Hot pot just caters to their appetite. Some Chinese restaurants offer hot pot, but it can only be regarded as an "additional service".

No matter how many Chinese there are, even a fraction of the local population is not enough. According to last year's census, Pakistan now has a population of at least 200 million. Why doesn't anyone open a hot pot shop for local people? The ingredients and material selection are slightly adjusted to better meet their tastes. I don't think this business will be bad. After several chain stores opened, their daily work was to count money.

After the inspection in the afternoon, we stayed in a local hotel. Due to the large number of people, we booked in advance and enjoyed the group purchase price, 5000 rupees for a single room and 6000 rupees for a standard room (RMB to rupee exchange rate: 1:18). The cover picture is a scene inside the Hotel, and then share some photos:

Speaking of the hotel industry, it is absolutely scarce in Pakistan. There are few five-star hotels in the first few major cities, and the occupancy rate is extremely high. Lahore, the second largest city where I live, has a population of 16 million. There are three main five-star hotels, namely Pearl Continental Hotel, avari Hotel and Nishat hotel. The first two hotels opened earlier and their internal facilities are relatively old. Nishat is a new hotel opened in recent years, with a strong sense of modernity. The price per night is almost $200 + including tax, and it's more expensive on holidays. There are not many five-star hotels in terms of scale and price, but the domestic service is not good.

The implementation of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor has led many central and state-owned enterprises to come for construction. Coupled with the impact of domestic environmental constraints, many small factories have been forced to close down, prompting private bosses to "go out" to look for opportunities. Coming to a new country, eating and living is something everyone must face. There are too many differences in culture, habits and diet, which will bring a lot of trouble.

When Mr. Tan came into the room, he looked for hot water to make tea. He asked the front desk that there was no kettle at all. They would send a large bottle of cold mineral water to each room. Most Chinese people can't adapt, especially the elderly.

However, locals drink ice water all year round, except milk tea and coffee. The water dispenser not only has the function of heating, but also has the function of refrigeration. These differences will bring inconvenience to the Chinese people who come here.

The other side of this discomfort is business opportunities. If someone can open a hotel for the Chinese people on a larger scale and manage and serve according to the habits of the Chinese people, it will make the guests feel at ease and let them spend more energy on business investigation. At the same time, the people gathered here are engaged in different industries. The resources and information they master can be exchanged through exchange, and new business opportunities may appear.

If you are a conscientious person, you can certainly find a lot of business opportunities in Pakistan. Due to the backward economic state, various fields are still a rough development model, which urgently needs resource integration and huge room for improvement. After solving the problems of energy and infrastructure construction, industry and Commerce will develop rapidly and iteratively. Alibaba is actively deploying mobile payment to open the door of local efficiency.

However, when doing business here, we must do a good job in risk control. The less developed countries are, the worse their business reputation is. Don't try to be lucky. It's not easy to devote yourself to overseas business. Every hard money you earn is harder than that at home.

In the Jewish business book, it is clearly written that every time is the first transaction.

Don't relax the examination of the conditions and requirements of this business just because of the successful cooperation last time. Treat each business as an independent business and the business partners you contact each time as partners for the first time.
